Kilo Privacy Policy

Information you provide

Kilo processes the profile information you enter, including age, height, weight, activity, goals and diet preferences, to calculate estimated nutrition targets. It stores meal names, portions, ingredients, nutrition values, favorites and weight entries so you can use your diary.

Device identifier and local settings

The app creates a persistent device identifier to associate your profile, diary, limits and subscription access. Onboarding status and language preferences are stored on your device. This identifier is not an advertising identifier.

Photo and text analysis

When you request analysis, your selected meal photo or food description is sent to our backend and the configured AI provider, currently Google Gemini, to generate estimated nutrition information. Camera and photo-library permissions are used when you choose those features. You can also enter known values manually. Do not upload sensitive documents or photos of people.

Service providers

Our backend is hosted with Hetzner. Supabase provides application database services. Adapty helps manage subscription access and receives the identifiers and purchase-related information needed for that purpose. Apple processes App Store purchases; we do not receive your full payment-card details. AI processing is subject to the provider's terms and privacy policy.

Purposes and sharing

We use this information to provide food analysis, save and display your diary, calculate estimates, enforce usage limits, manage subscription access and answer support requests. We do not sell your diary or profile information. Information is shared with service providers as necessary to deliver those features and where required by law.

Retention and deletion

Saved profile, diary, favorites and weight records remain available until you remove them or delete your app account. The account-deletion function in Profile requests deletion of the associated application records and resets local app state. Removing the app alone does not request deletion of server records. Subscription cancellation is separate and is managed through Apple. Service-provider backups, purchase records and support correspondence may have separate retention requirements. You can contact us for deletion and privacy questions.

Your choices

You can edit or remove diary entries, change camera/photo permissions in iOS Settings, and request access, correction or deletion by email. We may need enough information to locate and verify the relevant app record. Data may be processed outside your country through our providers.

Security and nutrition estimates

We use HTTPS for application communications. No service can guarantee absolute security. Nutrition and health-related calculations are estimates for general wellness, not medical advice.

This website

This website is served from a Hetzner server. Your IP address and request details are processed to deliver the page and protect the service. We do not enable visitor access logs, analytics, advertising trackers, contact forms or cookies on these pages. External links and email services have their own privacy policies. Changes
